  • Condition: the wooden stand that the boxes sit on has some peeling of the surface underneath where it doesn't show...the top box's lid doesn't fit snugly onto the top box...it seems the leather has expanded or shrunk in such a way that it floats on top..but it's not noticeable to the eye when it's on top (see pictures)...there are some minor losses and rubbing, but actually VERY GOOD condition for it's age.

    Description

    Beautiful, and unusual, Antique Chinese Hand-painted and Stitched Leather boxes that form a lovely table on stand....Check out all of the pictures.  I photographed them outside for the lighting...but inside so you can see them with scale in a room.  Really gorgeous pieces and I've never seen another like it.  It's semi-circular so it would look great as a side table or small cocktail table.  The top top "lid" is a little warped (it's all leather) with age...and doesn't sit completely secure on the top..but that could be easily secured if you want to use them that way.  They are excellent as they are as a gorgeous accent piece..that you can store lots of small things in...The design goes along the back and front and so you can tell which order to stack them & the top has a gorgeous painting in the "fan" shape which could be hung on the wall as a work of art! ! !  **The Size when stacked is appx 29" long X appx 14" wide and Appx 20" tall.  Shipping will be by USPS...and will have to be in two separate boxes because of the size and the legs...Thanks & Good Luck ! ! !
