    Description

I AM NOT SELLING A KIT
    ,
    only a new, full-size
    PLAN
    and
    construction
    article
    plus
    scale
    documentation
    article
    (includes 3-views) for
    Walt Musciano's
    29" span UC scale
    SKYSHARK
    model from the 1950s.
This is not the Sterling profile carrier model---which had only assembly instructions. I show that kit & PLAN in my last 2 pictures.
THIS IS A FULL-BODIED UC SCALE MODEL PLAN.
Walt became famous worldwide for his many, many UC scale models that appeared in Air Trails, Model Airplane News and Flying Models magazines. He began just after World War II with designs such as this Navy
    SKYSHARK
which was a unique carrier-based fighter plane design that did not appear until after the war.
    Pop’s Old Timer Tips:
The model is sheet balsa covered---thus no tissue or Monocote is involved. A long-lasting paint job will look just great. It called for an Ohlsson & Rice .19 to .29. Any glow .15 engine will do fine today. The unique canopy is flat on the sides---thus no carving of a mold.
From my 70+ year-old original I include an excellent copy of the 1950 magazine
    construction
    article
    with its
    scale
    3-view
    documentation
, and a terrific Douglas A2D-1 article discussing the history of US turboprop development and domination.
    As a
    BONUS
I also include a copy of a vintage Skyways article further discussing the strength of the
    SKYSHARK
in military aviation. You’ll not find a more thorough offering of these wonderful historical documents.
