Military issue--Steel Quick link Assembly---2EA---, New, Rated at 40,000 lbs on a straight pull or 2,000 lbs side way pull. These were used to tie 1-3/4"wide nylon straps together on the parachutes, Mainly large cargo chutes.
The pictures show how easy they come apart, There's a spring loaded button you push to get them apart, the whole assembly. is steel , except for the 2 rollers which are aluminum.
The outside dimensions are 2-3/4" wide by 5" long, inside dimensions with the rollers in place is 1-1/2" by 1-7/8" , They weigh 2-1/2 lbs ea. I think they would work great as a quick coupling for nylon straps, ropes chains and steel cables
